Job Description - Accounts Assistant

Position Title: Accounts Assistant

Duration: Permanent

Location: Basildon, Essex

Key Responsibilities

  • Reconciliation of contractor invoices to timesheets
  • Emailing contractors to chase for timesheets/ invoices
  • Entering contractor invoices on Sage
  • Communicating via email and telephone with the contractors dealing with queries on invoices and timesheets
  • Processing of employee and contractor expenses
  • Raise and send out remittances
  • Compliance with Company Management Systems supporting improvement, identifying and reporting issues
  • Other ad hoc duties as required
  • Assistance in raising sales invoicing to clients

Skills Required

  • Good working knowledge of MS Office and Excel
  • Be an excellent team player and be able to work on their own initiative
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are required, as well as the ability to work efficiently and meet strict deadlines

Education Required

  • Degree or A Levels

Education Preferred

  • Graduate in Accounting and Finance
