Our client within the legal sector is seeking a skilled Accounts Manager to join their growing team on a full-time, permanent basis.

As the Accounts Manager, you will lead the company's accounts department, collaborating closely with senior management to ensure all accounts are managed in compliance with company standards and legal requirements.

The responsibilities:

• Manage company accounts, including handling all payments, refunds, and related queries.
• Issue and discuss invoices with clients, manage instalment agreements, and debtors.
• Reconcile bank accounts and prepare monthly management reports.
• Manage supplier accounts, process invoices, and send remittances promptly.
• Adhere and comply with company procedures and legal regulations.
• Organise and update data using database applications.
• Review, submit, and pay quarterly VAT returns.
• Coordinate with accountants for End of Year accounts and annual audit.

The candidate:

• Proven experience within a similar role, previous experience working with Solicitor Accounts would be a strong advantage, however not essential as training will be provided.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to convey information clearly and concisely.
• Proficient with accounts packages such as SAGE/Xero and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, clients, and professional contacts.
• High accuracy and attention to detail, capable of working independently and under pressure with a thorough, organised approach.
