Assistant Accountant

Accountable Recruitment are partnered with a Knowsley based company as they strengthen their Finance Funcion with this Assistant Accountant position. The company are growing at an exciting pace with further high growth plans on the horizon, which will bring future internal progression opportunities.

Whilst some P+L / Balance Sheet exposure would be good, this role is open to candidates from a Transacitonal background too wanting to develop and pursue further duties and studies.

As Assistant Accountant, you will be involved with month end processes and offer analysis and support to guide key business decision making.

Salary of : £25,000 - £33,000 DOE + Full Study Package

Duties of the Assistant Accountant role:

• Month-end processes including posting of journals, accurals & prepayments
• Profit and loss reviews
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Fixed Asset Register maintenance
• Cost analysis
• Liaise with auditors during year end
• Support other functions of financial operations such as credit control, purchase ledger and payroll when required
• Provide analysis to support with key business decision making

Experience required:

• Experience in a similar role is required - preferably exposure / experience in month end duties
• Good Excel and Office skills to build reports
• Strong communication required to liaise internally and externally (auditors etc)
• Analytical eye for detail
