Grafton Banks Finance are working with a growing commercial large Group with offices in Hastings, East Sussex to recruit a Management Accountant on a full time permanent basis. Working as part of the UK Finance Team you will be responsible for compiling the management accounts for the UK subsidiaries of the Group liaising with the finance and operational teams to deliver robust and accurate financial information to the senior management team.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

Preparation of UK management accounts within specified deadlines for review by the UK Finance Manager

Preparing monthly schedules and posting journals for:

Prepayments for all UK subsidiaries

Accruals for all UK subsidiaries

Fixed Assets

Capitalisation of staff costs (internally generated assets)

Balance sheet reconciliations

Supervising the work of the Accounts Payable Assistant and Credit Controller and provide support to colleagues in the finance team

Preparation of VAT Returns

Ensuring compliance with internal control processes

Prepare ad-hoc analysis and reports requested by UK Finance Manager

Support with liaising with external auditors

Communicating and interpreting financial data to non-financial managers

Ad hoc tasks and projects as required

The successful candidate will have at least 2 years experience of preparing management Accounts in commerce and either ideally AAT Qualified or Actively Part Qualified ( ACA, ACCA, CIMA) You will need to have advanced Excel skills alongside experience of working with accounting software. You will need to have strong communication skills, both verbal and written to communicate effectively within the business. This job opportunity is offering Hybrid working.
