Practice Accountant

Practice Accountant Location: Stevenage, Hertfordshire Salary: £35k - £40k (DOE) + Excellent Benefits Full-Time, Permanent, Monday - Friday, 9am - 5:30pm The Client: Our client is a well-established accountancy firm, offering a wide range of accounting and tax services to clients across various sectors. The Role: As a Practice Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in preparing accounts for Ltd companies, sole traders, and partnerships. Responsibilities: ? Finalising accounts and CT returns.
? Reviewing self-assessment tax returns to HMRC.
? Examining and submitting VAT returns.
? Ensure tax compliance for corporation, personal, and partnership entities.
? Utilise cloud accounting systems.
? Cultivating strong client relationships.
? Providing ongoing client support and addressing queries.
? Acting as a liaison between clients and HMRC. Requirements: ? Previously worked as an Accountant or in a similar role.
? At least 3 years experience in UK general practice.
? Knowledge of payroll, auto-enrolment & CIS, money laundering regulations.
? Understanding of latest legislation.
? Must be a part qualified or fully qualified.
? Familiarity with Xero, Quickbooks, TaxCalc and Bright Manager would be preferred.
