As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a vital role in supporting the finance team with various accounting tasks and responsibilities. Maintaining purchase and sales ledgers, including credit control and managing supplier payments. Assisting with sales invoicing and project costing. Overseeing accounts payable email inbox and liaising with suppliers. Reconciling bank and credit card accounts using Xero. Allocating costs to projects and timely reconciliation. Maintaining and reconciling a balanced general ledger. Preparation and maintenance of weekly timesheets for external payroll provider. Preparation of financial reports. Assist with the preparation of budgets and variance reporting, financial KPIS and cashflow reporting. Maintaining a fixed asset register and posting monthly depreciation. Be studying towards your AAT or CIMA and currently be part qualified. Be proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
