Cooper & Turner Ltd are looking for an Apprentice CNC operator to complete a Level 3 Machining Technician apprenticeship. The candidate will ensure that all work procedures are adhered to in a safe manner whilst maintaining a high quality of work, working towards set deadlines and targets in the most efficient and productive way.

Cooper & Turner began life in the 1800’s in England and today we are a multi-national corporation with manufacturing and distribution facilities around the world.
As early as the 1960’s, we were adding innovation to the fastener industry, supplying high strength friction grip fasteners. It was at that time that we designed and patented the ‘Coronet’ Direct Tension Indicator. This ensured correct torque tensioning for high strength bolting assemblies. This innovative, time-saving product soon established the company as the world leader in structural bolting.
We are still adding innovations to all our markets, including wind, construction, rail and tunnelling. We are also continuing to invest in the future, significantly in 2019 we merged withBeck Industries . This has added new products and new safety critical markets to us, including Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and Subsea.
We continue to support projects where customers count on us for the provision of high quality safety critical fasteners.
Today, we are a $200m corporation with a global workforce of over 1,100.
Things to consider:
During the first year you will be required to attend the University of Sheffield AMRC Training Centre in Sheffield, full time for an initial block of study. You will return to your workplace one Friday per month. After the initial block training you will attend the AMRC Training Centre for one day a week to undertake the knowledge study. The remaining four days will be spent in company learning on the job.

Applicants are also required to successfully complete a series of assessments at the University of Sheffield’s AMRC Training Centre, as well as an employer recruitment and selection process to secure a place on an apprenticeship programme.
