Donor Administration Supervisor, Band

Job description

Provides training for, and supervision of, staff within the Donor Administration department. Works with other departments to ensure the collection of platelets meets the required needs of the service. Development of SOPS, within department, and maintaining training records for all relevant documents. Co-ordinates functional activities of administration staff at mobile sessions and in the Headquarters Donation Suite. Ensures the security of donor information at all times. Provides support/deputises for Donor Administration Manager..

Responsibilities

• Preparation of departmental rotas to ensure adequate staffing at mobile sessions, the Donation Suite, Public Holidays and session inputs prior to Public Holidays. Where required, covering session/Donation Suite duties.
• Making last minute changes to rotas as a result of staff availability.
• Co-ordination and approval of annual leave requests.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 1 years clerical/administration experience which MUST include working face to face with the public or 2 years experience, if the qualifications listed below are not held: 4 GCSEs at A-C level, including English Language (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 6 months experience in the use of Pulse modules: donor management, clinic reception and session outcome management.
