Finance Operations Project Manager

We have an excellent opportunity for a Finance Operations Project Manager to join our highly profitable Glasgow city centre client.

This is an integral role within their Global Finance Operations Team, implementing improvements, consistency, and standardisation across the group. The types of improvements that can be required are process, technology, operational finance model or policy related. You will use your extensive operational finance knowledge to manage and advise SME’s within Finance whilst applying a project management logic.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implementing improvements, consistency, and standardisation within Finance globally.
• Implementing process improvements across the controllership function working in conjunction with SME’s.
• Using project management tools and process evaluation methods to manage the project timeline such as Lean Six Sigma
• Where applicable work alongside the BPO to transition any processes to the shared services organisation.
• Understanding and documenting current processes with SMEs with a view to identifying ways to improve it.

About you

• Proven record of managing and delivering large and small-scale projects
• Extensive understanding of finance operational processes
• Extensive understanding of finance process flows.
• Project Management experience within a Finance Operations function within a complex business of scale
• The ability to navigate the complexities of such a large company and use your influence with stakeholders and SMEs in order to make improvements.
• The ability to form relationships and engagement with key operational managers
• The willingness to travel on occasion to other business locations.
