Graduate Trainee Operational Support Manager

A quick look at the role

The Graduate Trainee Operational Support Manager (GOTSM) supports the region to drive continuous improvement and support any operational business projects and developments. You will engage with relevant stakeholders across the Biffa network and work under the guidance of the Area Development Manager and Operations Support Managers to achieve project goals and ensure we deliver a first-class customer experience in line with business performance indicators. The GTOSM is a hands-on position and can have you stepping in to support as a Traffic Dispatcher one day, to then training new staff or supporting the roll out of a new project the next.

Your core responsibilities

• Support projects across the operational teams and work with key stakeholders across the organisation.
• You will be supported to create and plan your own day to day activity to assess, route cause, implement, and support all the stakeholders involved.
• Work closely with the operational teams and increase management capability through knowledge sharing, training, and support.

• Work closely with various teams to continuously improve the operational systems and processes to support regional growth and performance
• You will have a great opportunity to develop through on-the-job learning/training as part of the role.

Our essential requirements

• Recent graduate with a 2.1 or higher
• Three A to C grades at A-Level
• Confident with all Microsoft Applications including advanced Excel
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
