Job Description - Healthcare Administration Assistant

Healthcare Administration Assistant Location Desborough :

Simply CHC is a not-for-profit, community interest company set up by a group of legal and healthcare professionals to provide advice, guidance, and advocacy to those who are considering starting the long and complex process of applying for NHS Continuing Healthcare for themselves, or a loved one.

Due to the continued growth of the company, we are now seeking to hire a part-time Administrative Assistant to join our team. You will be responsible for supporting the senior advocate and nurse advisors with the day-to-day management of their calendars, overseeing the general administrative duties involved within each matter, and providing excellent customer service to each of our clients.

This role will be most suited to individuals with experience as a Senior Carer who are looking for a career move, a medical assistant or an individual who has an interest in healthcare advocacy. However, we will provide full training to the right individual. This role will initially be 15 hour per week but has the potential for an increased hours in the future for the right candidate.

Pay scales dependant on experience. Bonus dependant on company performance and individual performance. Initial 3-month fixed term contract with potential for permanent contract.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer emails and phone calls.
  • Make travel arrangements.
  • Schedule suitable assessment times by conversing with both the client and the Integrated Care Boards.
  • Return calls from prospective clients and respond to online enquiries.
  • Review medical documents and care records.
  • Prepare communications, such as memos, emails, reports, and other correspondence.
  • Create content to post on the company's social media channels.
  • Working knowledge of spreadsheet and word-processing program.
  • Excellent multitasking, time management and organisational skills.

Education:

  • GCSE or equivalent.
  • Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Preferred) or similar.

Experience:

  • Customer service: 1 year
  • Administrative experience: 1 year.
  • Experience with the NHS Continuing Healthcare process (advantageous but full training will be given).
  • Familiarity with medical records/care home records/professional correspondence (advantageous but full training will be given)
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision, oftentimes alone.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £11.44-£13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 15 per week

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Flexitime
  • Overtime

Supplemental pay types:

  • Commission pay
  • Performance bonus

Work Location: In person
