Legal Administrator - (Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm)
Edinburgh City Centre | Hybrid Position
Permanent role
Salary: 22k - 23K DOE Search Consultancy are currently working with a well renowned law firm based in Edinburgh City Centre to recruit for the role of Legal Administrator The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive administration support to the office and required to have understanding of payment processing, invoices and ledgers. The hours for this role will be 9:00am to 5:00pm - Monday to Friday, with the option of working from home. Duties involved in this role will include:
* Dealing with both internal and external queries and handling both written and verbal communications
* Updating cash diary, processing payment & updating client information
* Typing up bills and accounts for both agents and clients
* Creating and distributing client reports & documentation
* Working on cheque runs and outgoing cheques or remittances
* Posting to ledgers and maintaining updates to spreadsheets
* Creating CLA1 forms, VAT invoices and pink bills
* Assisting RTL invoices
* If needed, availing of interest or deduction figure and liaising with the case handler to deduct the same from damages and producing the balance to the client
* Money laundering checks
* Closure of files
* Various ad hoc Administration duties required In order to be considered for this role your skills and experience should include:
* Previous experience within an Administration role within an legal firm and understanding of cash-room procedures
* Understanding of Court of Session or Personal Injury Procedures
* Good client care skills
* First class communication skills, both written & verbal
* Proficient IT Skills, such as all MS Applications (e.g. Word and Excel) and working on Legal Accounts Packages e.g. SOS or similar
* Understanding of Access & Legal Case Management System
* Proficient numeracy skills and file management skills
* Excellent organisational & time management skills, with the ability to prioritise a very busy workload effectively
