Help us make a difference as a Loader Operative in St Austell
A quick look at the role.
The Loader Operative will work as a part of a team to collect waste from designated collection points and returning containers where necessary.
You will be required to competently operate machinery and to be able to work with minimal supervision. You will spend the majority of your time on the rounds ensuring that all waste placed out for collection is removed, whilst assisting residents as required. You will work with your crew to achieve this, whilst at all times ensuring that both Biffa and the local council are represented well. Health and Safety is paramount in the refuse collection industry, and you will at all times ensure that both you and your colleagues are operating in a safe way.
The Biffa division you’ll be supporting
Biffa’s household waste division delivers a range of cost-efficient, quality-led waste management services for 31 local authorities across the UK. With over 3,300 staff and around 1,562 specialist vehicles, our domestic waste management division makes 4.3 million collections each week from over 2.3 million households across Britain.
