Our work is delivered by a team of well trained, stocked, and motivated Electrical and Project engineers, supported by 24/7/365 Operations and Networks teams.

Responsibility for providing rapid charging infrastructure and support solutions for some of the UK's largest public operator and private EV fleets, means that Vital has a variety of different business roles for ambitious business and engineering school graduates who possess a desire to play a pivotal role in the decarbonisation and electrification of the world's transport systems.

We are a forward-thinking business with approximately 60 employees across the UK with ambitions to continue growing, making it an excellent time to join the business. This role is based in our Chester Office. This is a full-time contract working Monday to Friday, operating between two shifts (8am - 4.30pm and 9.30am - 6pm) on a rotational basis.

As an Operations Coordinator, you will play a key role within the Vital EV Operations Team. Responsible for ensuring that the charging network is maintained and that all field service operations are supported with the correct liaison of monitoring and control of the operational processes working in conjunction with the Vital EV sales & networks teams to ensure a smooth process from sales order to delivery.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Reacting to reported faults to get them resolved as soon as possible.
  • Working with the networks team to resolve issues remotely.
  • To assist the operations team by helping to overcome any service delivery challenges.
  • Organisation and management of preventative maintenance processes.
  • To help schedule the diaries of our field-based engineering team.
  • To manage the data entry of our field management software (scheduling tool)
  • To organise, file and distribute all relevant service documentation, including management of Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
  • To liaise with customers and suppliers (where necessary) to organise jobs and confirm working schedules.
  • To develop a good knowledge and understanding of the industry and our services.
  • To contribute to the continuous improvement of internal business processes to ensure that the service provided is always at the highest possible standard.
  • To focus on achieving individual and team objectives.
  • To work positively and communicate professionally across the team, providing an effective contribution to work tasks.
  • Relentlessly looking for ways to improve our customer experience and charger reliability.
  • To manage your own personal development and provide opportunities for career development within the business.

Person Specification

Criteria - Education, Qualifications & Experience:

Essential:

  • Good level of general education
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Previous experience of working in a professional environment
  • Computer literate with experience of Microsoft Office (predominately Word and Excel)
  • Excellent communication, verbal and written, skills
  • Ability to manage own workload and establish priorities
  • Experience of working effectively as part of a team as well as independently
  • Ability to solve problems with a positive attitude
  • Self-motivated and able to learn quickly
  • Strong attention to detail with high levels of accuracy

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in an operational role
