Our clientis a small business that specialises in antique, reproduction and bespoke fireplaces, based in New Malden. Theyare currently looking to add to the team and require someone with a strong operations background.
The Role:
- Scheduling and planning the preparation of product installation
- Liaising with contractors/builders and the subcontractors the company uses to ensure everything is ready prior to fireplace installation. (Primarily flue and gas work preparations. You will obviously be given the necessary training for this).
- Managing stock levels and communicating with overseas suppliers
- Researching and expanding overseas supplier contacts
- Assisting with enquiries – (occasionally meeting clients that visit the showroom and discussing requirements.)
Requirements:
- Have superb organisation skills
- Have a positive attitude and able to complete tasks quickly and efficiently
- Preferably some experience in the building industry (of some description)
- Have a practical background – examples of which must be identified upon application
- Be thorough and have very good attention to detail
- Be trustworthy
- Have good timekeeping
- Have good web research skills
- Have a pleasant telephone and face-to-face manner
