Job Description - Operations Manager

Are you looking for the next exciting role or are ready for the next step in your management career? Do you have a passion for retail, exceptional customer service and inspiring a team, then this role is for you!

We are looking for an enthusiastic leader with a flair for retail to play an essential role in managing our day-to-day operations. You will play a key part within the management team and lead from the front; looking after loss prevention, health & safety, stock management, the management of out of hours replenishment, as well as deputising for the GM. You'll spend your time leading your team to deliver compliance, exceptional customer service and shop floor standards. Yourproactive thinking andretail management expertisewill make the most of every sales opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing our retailoperations, maximising profitable sales and growth while creating a unique customer focussed environment.
  • Taking the lead increating a great place to work for everyone on a day-to-day basis whilst thinking ahead to ensure your teamhave a development journey withDobbies.
  • Sparking your team’s passion for delivering the best customer experience possible bycreating a brilliant customer journey.
  • Working closely with ourcentralsupport teams, maintaining top notch communication, stock supplyandresponse.
  • Ensuringcompliance and health&safety regulations are carried outacross the centre, whilst always caring for employee and customers welfare.
  • As a member of the senior management team, you will also have duty manager responsibilities including key holder duties. You will also as being a key support to the General Manager and will deputise when they are on days off or on annual leave.

  • You’ll bringoperationsexpertisewith proven experience ofretailoperationsmanagement.
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of budgets, profitabilityfrom drivingretailsalesand improved ways of working.
  • Ability to identify training needs. You'll be effectively coaching and training all levels ensuring our teams are delivering a first-class customer experienceand safe centreenvironment.
  • Adaptability. You'll act quickly and enthusiastically to changing priorities, workload and new regulations or requirements.
  • Positivity managing change, you'llleadthe team througheach seasonwith care and motivation to deliver the best.
