About the role…

Assisting the Project Manager in delivering allocated tasks safely in accordance with legislation and Avove procedures to contract specification and programme, you will effectively supervise and deliver approved tasks. You will work to agreed resource and programme timescales. It is important that you have previously undertaken confined spaces training to effectively carry out this role. This role will be based within the Yorkshire Water region.

What will your day look like…

  • Producing and implementing site-specific risk assessments and method statements where appropriate.
  • Ensuring that toolbox talks, task briefs and COSSH briefs are carried out for all work tasks prior to the commencement of work for allocated contracts.
  • Managing direct labour performance against daily/weekly targets
  • Assisting and supporting the Project Manager ensuring project compliance with statutory legislation, company standards, and Avove management systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Holding a weekly stand down with all teams – reviewing performance in operations, customer and safety and carrying out any toolbox talks, task briefs and safety alert briefs.
  • Conducting joint visits, supervisor visits and site surveys as and when required, ensuring feedback is provided to Planning and Scheduling to effectively plan future works.
  • Carrying out performance reviews for work basket management
  • The day-to-day management, co-ordination and supervision of direct and subcontract site personnel.

About you…

You will have excellent management skills and the ability to effectively supervise and lead site teams in the successful delivery of works. Your thorough knowledge of health and safety procedures will allow you to assess the impact our operations have on Health & Safety matters.

This Role is perfect for individuals who have good working knowledge of Reinstatement and can work to SROH with a team effort from Operatives and management.
