Assystem Energy & Infrastructure are recruiting for a Radioactive Waste Operator to work at our customers site in Derby on a contract basis. In this role, you will be a key member of the manufacturing teams to support safe and efficient operation of the Waste Disposal areas and its associated processes. Radioactive Waste Operator Contract length: Contract type: PAYE via Umbrella solution Use problem solving and business improvement techniques to ensure waste is managed efficiently to allow continued operations; contribute to the continuous improvement of waste processes ensuring optimum performance Quality-check your own work and ensure you meet set specifications and comply to the environmental permit Experience working in a contamination controlled area would be desired and experience in waste management preferred. Secondary school qualification (GCSE or equivalent English & Maths) Ability to support the writing of method statements and risk assessments for abnormal tasks Due to the nature of work this role will be delivering and for the protection of certain assets, the successful candidate has to be a UK national or in MoD approved cases a Dual National from a non-ITAR country.
