Job Description - Portfolio Manager- Administration

Portfolio Manager (Administration)- 2 year Fixed Term contract / Internal Secondment opportunity

The Portfolio Manager position is a key role in the University’s new digital governance structure and will be the senior lead in terms of orchestrating delivery of all work within the Portfolio. The Administration Portfolio currently comprises a collection of major technology projects and programme investments aligned with the University’s Professional Services strategic aims and priorities. Of particular note is a flagship, multi-year programme of work to transform the University’s HR and Finance processes and underpin them with new technologies. In collaboration with senior leaders, the postholder will play a key role in helping to shape the programme of work and deliver against this major investment.

Working alongside Service Heads, this role will also contribute to the design and implementation of user-centred digital services, including supporting definition of infrastructure, operating model and staff capability requirements. The Portfolio Manager will play a central role in supporting the transition of activity managed within the Portfolio from largely waterfall projects and programmes to a blend of digital services operating on a continuous improvement/product management basis, complemented by targeted investment delivered following agile methodologies.

Salary (£) : 61198 - 70918 with a discretionary range up to 77476 per annum
