Job Description - Procurement Administrator

A leading international business are currently recruiting for a Purchasing Administrator / Procurement Administrator based in Hinkley on a fulltime permanent basis.

The Purchasing Administrator / Purchasing Administrator will be responsible for providing a core support function to the procurement team; as well as taking the lead with other cross-functional departments across the globe to ensure a coordinated approach to for there supply chain.

This role will be key in ensuring our purchasing teams operate as efficiently as possible whilst ensuring continuity of supply to support our customer demand.

Role - Purchasing Administrator / Procurement Administrator

Type - Permanent

Location - Hinkley

Salary - £25,000-£28,000

Key roles and responsibilities for Purchasing Administrator / Purchasing Administrator role and will not be limited to:

  • Supporting the purchasing teams with report generation and insight
  • Creation of supplier packages to support purchasing activities
  • Achieving efficiencies through process streamlining and use of AI
  • Responsible for the implementation of design changes and progression of design change implementation to a stakeholder group.
  • Utilising multiple applications and systems to deliver accurate metrics, reporting and data
  • To support the project team with accurate reporting and data analysis.
  • To undertake and assist with projects as required by your Manager.

Key skills and experience required for Purchasing Administrator / Purchasing Administrator job applicant and not limited to:

  • First class interpersonal skills with a real passion for building effective professional relationships
  • Proficient in Microsoft Packages including Excel, Access, Word and Outlook.
  • Good commercial awareness and acumen.
  • Ability to multi-task and be flexible to address immediate priorities whilst still manage deadlines with longer-term projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Holds customer centric skills with very strong communication skills
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously with the ability to work under pressure
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate cross functionally and as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to negotiate and influence at all levels.
  • Able to make systematic and logical judgements with an attention to detail and having a high degree of accuracy
