Looking to secure work in the Public Sector? Apply today to find out more. About the role: Based in Antrim or Crumlin. Immediate Start. 37 hours per week (including weekends). 4 weeks initially ( possibility of extension). .

Responsibilities

• Daily reporting to the vehicle driver.
• Street Cleansing duties, cleanse footpaths, gutters, collection of litter and other items in public areas.
• Emptying of litter bins and waste receptacles, weeding of footpaths and gutters, cleaning of street furniture, removal of fly-tipped and fly-posted materials, and any other cleansing or emergency works.
• Collection of bulky domestic items, heavy garden waste, and accumulations of waste resulting from illegally dumped materials.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 6 months previous relevant work experience in a waste environment.
• Flexible approach, Good organisational and time management skills , Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Computer literate (to use TMS for holidays/GPS).
• Working knowledge of health and safety procedures including manual handling and assisting driver whilst reversing.
• Knowledge of waste collection/disposal and recycling issues and Traffic management.
