GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to work in secondary schools in Ashington. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting young learners with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Key Responsibilities: * Provide consistent support to pupils with SEMH needs, responding to their individual requirements.
* Assist the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating, and adjusting lessons/work plans as appropriate.
* Carry out administrative duties, such as preparing the classroom and clearing away after class to ensure effective teaching can take place.
* Manage and challenge behaviour positively, fostering a productive learning environment.
* Support the implementation of daily activities, ensuring all pupils are engaged. Requirements: * Use your initiative, be well-organised, and pro-active.
* Demonstrate a strong regard for pupil safety and wellbeing.
* Hold relevant experience or qualifications as a Teaching Assistant.
* Experience working with children with SEMH needs is highly desirable.
* An enhanced DBS on the update service OR the willingness to complete an immediate application.
