As part of the Barlborough administration Team, you will provide a high quality administrative service to patients and colleagues.

This role is to deliver a patient focused efficient service within the Hospital, the post holder will be highly motivated, flexible & multi-skilled with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, they will provide administrative support to the ward team & ward manager to ensure smooth running of the department.

Shifts for this role are typically 8am - 4pm. The days are set as Wednesday and Thursday and most likely a Friday, however you will be expected to work an occasional Saturday (instead of the Friday)

This list of duties and responsibilities is not exhaustive and the you may be required to undertake other relevant and appropriate duties as reasonably required

You will provide high quality administrative services on the In-Patient Ward, communicating effectively with a range of people, either in person or on the telephone, promptly and in a professional and courteous manner at all times.

You will ensure complex calls & enquiries are escalated & documented appropriately.

Managing & maintaining an efficient administrative system while ensuring your workload is managed & prioritized appropriately

Ensure that all patient information is kept confidential, and that patient medical records are kept locked up at all times

Ideally you will have:

  • A sincere desire to be part of a team that takes great pride in helping patients
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of IT and software packages (Word/Excel)
  • Excellent Communication skills (Written and Phone)
  • Ability to prioritise and work on own initiative
