Job Description - Commercial Administrator

About the role

Would you like to join a great place to work where you will be encouraged to apply your knowledge to make a real difference? We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented Commercial Administrator to join our Regional Civils Team in Plymouth .

Role Purpose

They will support other members of the commercial team in the undertaking of commercial administrative duties such as subcontractor administration, change management and other commercially-related administration tasks.

Work Pattern - This position can be part time, job share or full time.

What you'll be doing

Accountabilities:

Governance:

  • Awareness of the Companys governance requirements

Commercial Administration:

  • Understanding of basic ordering of information and data checks
  • Gather data & carry out research on current construction costs under supervision
  • Measure, record & value work supervised in accordance with appropriate rules and procedures
  • Record progress on site and help prepare and maintain records
  • Use the companys ERP System and embraces LEAN/digital opportunities.
  • Collation of Cost and Value Information
  • Measurement of works and provide information on subcontractors performance

Procurement:

  • Collect information required to specify procurement requirements
  • Record and document information including registration of interest
  • Understand the steps / documentation required

  • Similar experience would be advantageous
  • Computer literate and confident learning new applications
  • Industry appreciation
  • Appreciation of the role of the commercial function
