Integrum Power Engineering - Part of the OCU Group, is an electrical engineering design & build contractor and ICP specialising in high voltage power transmission & distribution projects. We offer engineering services across the full project life-cycle, from feasibility studies and design through to installation, commissioning and asset management. The Pre-Construction Design Engineer will be responsible for assisting the Lead Pre-Construction Design Engineer in the design and development of the primary design for High Voltage electrical infrastructure, including Layouts, cable routes, mechanical designs, and electrical compounds (33kV – 400kV) Produce conceptual designs, detail designs, manufacturing specifications, operational documentation and validation evidence for electrical engineering solutions in relation to defined requirements.

• Coordinate the production and maintenance of electrical drawings.
• Use Computer-Aided Design (“CAD”) software to deliver panel layouts, circuit diagrams,
• Contribute to construction configuration baselines.
• Ensure all safety, quality, technical and commercial requirements are met.
• This role allows a level of freedom to make the role your own and a chance to work across a varied range of design solutions.
• Support the full lifecycle from leading engagement with new and existing clients and supporting winning of new works, to design delivery and handover at practical completion with a target of safe by design.
• Support all types of projects from tendering to handover within area of activity, ensuring work is completed to time, to required quality standard and within budget.
• Support in promoting business development within the design team. Educated to HNC/degree level in a relevant engineering discipline with, ideally, Chartered Engineer status;
• Have experience working in, or with, industry, preferably in a multi-disciplinary design, development and production environment, creating bespoke solutions, using both digital and analogue technologies;
• Experience of design engineering on projects in the renewable energy and/or wider transmission & distribution sectors and associated knowledge and expertise in technical standards and engineering solutions is desirable;
• Ability to support in the quotation of new works using estimating software is desirable;
• Experience leading project H&S processes and production of associated documentation, including hazard identification, designers risk assessment and method statements;
• Thorough understanding of both LV and HV design work within a contracting environment is desirable;
• Outstanding self-reliance, resourcefulness and initiative, flexible approach and excellent time management.
