O'Neill and Brennan are currently assisting a well known housing developer with the recruitment of an Engineer to join their team, within their East Anglia division. As an Engineer within the business, you will be an integral part of the team overseeing external Design and Engineering Consultants involved in the project management and administration of all technical and design matters for various residential projects. The role of an Engineer is to support a number of housing developments at different stages (from land purchase through to closed sites) through the delivery of cost effective engineering solutions. The ideal candidate would have a strong design or engineering background, working on new build residential schemes. Assist in the briefing and commission of site investigations, topographical survey and other assessment reports on land acquired Brief engineering consultants on scope of design, which includes roads, sewers, private drainage, retaining walls, external levels, foundation designs any other substructures below DPC level either private or adopted Initial negotiations/enquiries with statutory bodies and utility undertakers on environmental, drainage, highways and other engineering issues when appraising land Issue engineering information to Commercial, Construction and Sales departments Comply with responsibilities as laid down in the Group s Health, Safety and Environment Policy Ideally qualified to HNC level or equivalent in a civil engineering or building-related discipline with some residential project experience Must have excellent knowledge of AutoCAD and be able to communicate effectively with both internal departments and external bodies You must be an enthusiastic and hardworking individual who is willing to undertake all necessary training The Salary & Benefits package Company Car or Car Allowance Contributory pension Life cover Bonus
