About The Role PD&MS Group have a great opportunity for a Control & Instrumentation Department Head to join our progressive C&I Engineering team team based in Aberdeen or Glasgow on a full time, employee basis. Responsible for team training and development Support technical and commercial bids and other business development activities. Knowledge of, and compliance with, client, industry and international specifications and standards.Managementof personnel andoverallresponsibilityfor the technical content and quality ofwork producedfor own discipline,training and development. Delivery of department project design deliverablesin accordance withagreed schedules and priorities and ahead of the estimates in terms of productivity In conjunction with Lead Engineers, management ofshortfalls such as training, coaching, mentoringorother measures. Periodic reviewof company procedures and policies Awareness and understanding ofthe business drivers and values Review personnel performance, competency and work ethic and action accordingly Review, orappropriate delegationof timesheets, holiday requests and working time Responsible for ensuring professional development ismaintainedandidentifiedcompetency requirements are undertakenin a timely manner Compliance with quality assurance, health and safety and environmental policies Ensure direct report performance reviews are carried out within the required timescales Thorough knowledge and understanding of relevant Oil & Gas Industry Codes and Standards Competent in the use of MS Office applications Excellent written and spoken English Oil and Gas Control and Instrumentation Engineering experience. Demonstrable Experience and Knowledge in Field Instrument selection and application particularly; Experience in writing/checking/approving system SoW for 3rd party systems vendors listed above. Fault Tree Analysis Risk Assessments Experience in support to construction and commissioning activities.
