Our multi-award winning, well established construction/maintenance client in the Mid Ulster/Co L’Derry area, boasts an impressive portfolio of clients and they are continuing to expand.
They now wish to recruit a new, permanent HR Officer.
This is a great HR generalist opportunity to join a highly successful HR team supporting a multi-site organisation where innovation, sustainability and quality lie at the heart of their company values.
The successful HR Officer will report to the HR Manager and provide a best in class HR service and people experience. The HR Officer will be responsible for the overall HR generalist remit, with a particular focus on employee relations, absence management and recruitment.
The Role
- Provide robust, accurate and timely HR advice in line with Company policies and procedures#
- Manage end to end recruitment campaigns
- Use various recruitment channels to attract candidates
- Assist in providing training, coaching and support to line managers on HR policies and procedures
- Provide a dedicated HR advisory service on all Employee Relations cases, handling matters with urgency and efficiently, escalating where necessary
- Proactively manage sickness absence and absenteeism in a timely manner, identifying triggers etc
- Support and conduct investigation/disciplinary and grievance meetings
- Participate in team working, information sharing and continuous improvement programmes
- Ensure performance management processes are being adhered to
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to create a collaborative approach to people related initiatives
The Person
- Associate member of CIPD
- Minimum of 2 years practical experience in a similar HR role, preferably within a fast paced production led environment – manufacturing/construction/engineering
- Fully conversant with all aspects of current employment legislation
- Strong experience in handling investigations and disciplinaries
- Strong experience of managing recruitment campaigns
- Experience in developing and supporting managers through change
- Have expert problem solving and pragmatic decision making abilities
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Full driving licence
