Based in Sheffield, our client seeks a Pre-Construction Manager to join their Building Solutions team in the Northern region.The Opportunity:As a Pre-Construction Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in overseeing projects valued up to £10 million, encompassing construction and refurbishment schemes across various frameworks. Collaborating with a diverse team, you'll lead pre-construction services, ensuring successful project delivery from tender to handover.Responsibilities:
- Support the Senior Pre-Construction Manager in delivering pre-construction services, offering leadership, guidance, and team management during the bidding stage and throughout pre-construction service agreements.
- Coordinate pre-construction activities, managing processes from tender issue to operational handover.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify and achieve key project milestones.
- Contribute to bid writing processes, developing strategies to meet quality requirements.
- Engage with clients to instil confidence in project execution capabilities.
- Manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Attend site visits, engaging with designers and supply chain partners to inform pricing processes.
- Maintain balanced team workloads and manage team wellbeing.
- Deliver clear bid requirements to bid teams and directors.
- Embrace collaborative and trusted business culture.
Essential Skills & Experience:- CSCS Card
- Degree in construction or engineering, or equivalent
- Membership of relevant professional bodies (CIOB, APM, CIAT, RICS)
- Previous pre-construction experience on projects up to £10m
- Record of successful multi-project delivery
- Commercial and contractual awareness
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications and other software
- Strong leadership, organisational, and time management skills
- Full UK driver's license
