Quantity Surveyor

Mane Contract Services is currently seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in estimating and managing costs for projects, ensuring compliance with legal standards and maintaining high–quality standards throughout.

Key Responsibilities:

• Demonstrated experience in various civil engineering projects, encompassing earthworks, road construction, drainage systems, and services installation.
• Proficient in preparing Interim Applications and Final Accounts.
• Expertise in managing subcontractors and valuing their applications, including certification of payments.
• Responsible for monitoring cash flow and maintaining clear communication with clients.
• Regular attendance at meetings, actively engaging in commercial discussions with main contractors.
• Accountable for cost management, including monthly reporting to senior management.
• Creation and maintenance of weekly production monitors for labour, equipment, and material usage.
• Implementation and oversight of detailed record–keeping procedures.
• Preparation of monthly Cost Value Reports and accurate take–offs.
• Utilisation of manual take–offs or Blue beam software for measurements.
• Preparation of estimates and Bills of Quantities based on CESMM3.
• Proficient in managing change control processes and valuing Compensation Events.
• Active participation in negotiations with subcontractors on work packages.
• End–to–end management of project costs, from initiation to completion.
• Procurement of subcontracting works and conducting cost analyses.
• Regular monitoring of actual costs against budgetary allocations, with proactive identification and resolution of discrepancies.
• Expertise in NEC 3 Option B Contract and experience using CEMAR.
• Thorough review of contracts and conducting risk assessments from a contractual standpoint.
• Providing assistance on claim matters and contributing to resolution processes.
