Job Description - Quantity Surveyor

About the role

Join our Asset & Technology Solutions team as a Quantity Surveyor on our Old Oak Common project where you'll deliver complex work that really matters to our business, and the world around you.

Taking the lead as a Quantity Surveyor and you'll be part of our legacy within our temporary Site services sector. This role is based onsite at Old Oak Common, which is set to be the best connected and largest new railway stations ever built in the UK.

What you'll be doing

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will have the following accountabilities:

  • Applies principles of cost management & elemental cost analysis including life cycle implications where required
  • Undertakes risk analysis in the context of construction
  • Lead contractual delivery including CEs, EWN and GC submissions
  • Reviews progress of the project against the various programmes
  • Preparation of delay and disruption programmes
  • Monitors & controls critical elements of the process
  • Evaluate and negotiate tenders including Subcontractors and suppliers
  • Assess and identify risks and opportunities as part of risk management
  • Manages customer and stakeholder management for their area of responsibility
  • Risk and opportunity analysis
  • Advising and contractual matters and formulating correspondence.

Who we're looking for

You will have the following:

  • BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or experience equivalent (Desirable)
  • Membership of RICS, ICES or CIOB
  • Construction/Civils/Asset background
  • Excellent communication
  • Promotes organisational aims & objectives
  • Manages customer needs
  • Manages opportunities & threats
