Barista/Customer Service

We are recruiting for a Barista to work at Michaelhouse Café in Central Cambridge. This is a permanent position, working 18hours per week, on a rota basis 3 shifts per week which may include weekends. The café opened its doors in 2020 and is a busy site in the centre of CambridgeWe pride ourselves on producing fresh, locally sourced food and are now looking to recruit a Barista for a busy coffee service.The ideal candidate will be from a restaurant or café background with exceptional coffee making skills. You will have a genuine passion for hospitality and is looking to work in a busy, fast paced environment within a unique church setting. The cafe is open for breakfast and lunch and serves freshly prepared cakes and bakes all day. Opening hours are 9am – 5pm, 7 days a week, however, closes during the Christmas period to allow the team to enjoy a festive break Please do take a look at our website As our Barista you will: Have experience working as a barista in a busy cafe / deli environment. Be organised and comfortable working in a high-pressure environment. Ensure you follow the rules of health and safety. Keep up standards of hygiene and ensure all areas are clean and tidy. Work well in a large team. Have excellent customer service skills.
