At our factory in Old Woking, we have a full production and R&D facility, both of which sit alongside our head office. Purpose of Role:  

We are seeking a personable and enthusiastic Customer Service Advisor to join the expanding team at Total Soft Water (Company Owned Dealer). Operating from our bustling Hitchin branch you will play a vital role in assisting customers with inquiries related to the installation of their water softeners.

You will also be the face of the business at Hitchin, serving any walk in customers and dealing with any customer telephone or email enquiries. Your responsibilities will also include ensuring that the store is well-stocked with salt, filters and water softeners.

Additionally, you will actively support our team of water softener installers by assisting in the efficient management of their work schedules (diary management) and ensuring the timely installation of softeners for our customers. Coordinating appointments for our sales team, who conduct surveys and provide quotes to potential clients, will also be a key aspect of your role. 

As a Customer Service Advisor, your ability to provide customers with prompt appointments will be pivotal. You will play a crucial role in offering administrative support to our team, aligning with our mission to deliver the highest levels of customer service. The position also involves basic accounting tasks such as invoicing and procurement.

What we're looking for:

· A passion for delivering exceptional customer service, with the ability to address customer queries related to water softener installations and provide prompt and helpful responses. 

· Strong organizational skills to effectively manage inventory and ensure the store is consistently stocked with the required products. 

· Proficient in arranging and coordinating appointments, especially for our sales team who conduct surveys and quotes for potential new customers. Timeliness and attention to detail in scheduling are key aspects of this role. 

· Capable of providing effective administrative support to the team, including basic accounting tasks such as invoicing and procurement.

· Strong teamwork and collaboration skills to work seamlessly with the water softener installers, sales team, and other colleagues. Contribute positively to the team's overall mission of delivering the highest levels of customer service. 

· A positive and friendly demeanour, with enthusiasm for engaging with customers, team members, and stakeholders. An approachable personality that contributes to a positive working environment. 

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, occasionally transitioning between the Hitchin and Harpenden branches, demonstrating flexibility.

· Clear and effective communication skills to liaise with customers, team members, and other stakeholders.

· A proactive approach to problem-solving and taking initiative when necessary.

Working Hours: 

Thursday & Friday 9.30am-5pm and Saturday 9:30 am-1pm
