Why this job matters
You will be a specialist within a core functional area where you will be required to influence ‘go to market’ strategies for all recruitment within this space.
You will support with the pipelining talent for critical roles across your area.
You will partner with your part of the business to really understand their recruitment needs providing the best service and giving insight into the recruitment market.
You will partner with the HRBP teams to provide insight on the market challenges and bring brilliant capability into the segments you support.
You will drive a culture for seamless recruitment process from approval to on-boarding. Accountable for ensuring all hiring managers are skilled and knowledgeable of what is expected of them and feeding back on a timely basis on delivery of shortlists for offer stage.
You will pro-actively manage and put in place solutions where roles are difficult to hire for. Consideration of how a role could be structured differently, how we can develop talent, particularly externally where we have a shortage of good qualify applicants or recruiting for critical roles.
You will work with the Employer Brand lead to develop EVP, specialist campaigns to help with attracting high potential candidates. Redesign of job adverts, language and positioning of role.
You will have a strong understanding of recruitment performance and be able to bring this to life through data and insight.
Matrix management of other TA professionals and TA coordinators.
You will ensure adoption and usage of ATS to drive performance of requisitions for maximum efficiency and Hiring Manager and candidate experience.
What you’ll be doing
You will take the specialist role for a business unit supporting and guiding on hiring decisions, feasibility of hiring plans (including volume, skills, and location) to help the business hire the right people for the right role at the right time to fulfil its targets and goals.
Act as a specialist in recruiting for roles within a specific area – proving knowledge, guidance and market expertise to business stakeholders.
Accountable for the end to end candidate experience.
Accountable for managing the relationship with HR team and key stakeholders
Work with and maintain the recruitment system with a high level of data integrity
Advise on which assessment methods and tools to use depending on the requirement, and availability within BT’s assessment suite
Develop sourcing and attraction plans to ensure a healthy pipeline of quality candidates, working with the marketing team when required to support with the design and implementation of campaigns
Achieve key metrics for the role, this includes but is not limited to 80% direct hiring on external vacancies, hiring manager NPS and time to hire targets (60 days)
Hold day to day relationships with our PSL partners, holding regular performance review sessions with them alongside the TAM
Attending external networking opportunities to enhance own knowledge and experience.
Utilise recruitment network to support own development and enhance knowledge of recruitment outside of your designated area.
You’ll serve as trusted business partner to hiring managers, providing a remarkable service focusing on ensuring both internal and external hiring is executed quickly and effectively, matching the best internal and external candidates to the right roles.
This role will require you to develop a deep understanding of the requirements of your specialist area, having a good view of the internal and external market/competition and being able to provide a great service to hiring managers and candidates.
Ensuring roles are advertised in an interesting and appealing way, to ensure we recruit the best, diverse talent to BT, advising the hiring manager of the best route to market and ensuring all advertising follows BT guidelines
You will ideally have the following:
Demonstrable experience of the recruitment industry, gained from either in-house or external RPO environments within a large, complex, and global organisation
Experience developing and maintaining relationships with key leadership and HR stakeholders
Excellent and demonstrable stakeholder management skills, gained within a matrix management environment or similar complex global structure
Demonstrable experience of influencing and advising key decision makers
Able to manage expectations and prioritise work for both yourself and the wider team
Experience delivering against individual targets and monitoring of team SLAs and KPIs, helping drive performance improvement alongside the TAM
Experience of lifecycle candidate management, from requisition through to offer management & contracting.
Management of 3rd party suppliers
Passionate about excellent candidate experience and care
Extensive knowledge of current recruitment market trends including but not limited to diversity and inclusion, assessment and selection, social media and marketing, apprentice and graduate hiring, employment law

Flexible Working
This role offers a 3 together, 2 wherever working model. This means you are required to be at your contractual location 3 days a week with 2 flexible days per week.
