The vacancy

We are looking for a dedicated Buildings Manager to lead our Maintenance and Caretaking team. In this role, you will oversee day-to-day operations, prioritise tasks, and efficiently allocate resources to meet performance standards and ensure clear communication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Organise and execute a comprehensive planned maintenance programme in collaboration with the Estates Manager for optimal campus functionality.
• Manage building services proactively and report defects promptly.
• Provide a responsive service to address operational demands and coordinate evacuation procedures efficiently.
• Supervise on-site contractor services to ensure safety protocols and performance requirements are met.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience in facilities management or related field.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Proficiency in developing and implementing maintenance programs.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and risk assessment procedures.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
