The City of Liverpool College is the only general FE college in the city and the largest FE college in Liverpool City Region.It offers the widest, most diverse vocational curriculum in the region and ranges from entry up to degree and post-graduate levels and currently serves more than a third of all the 16-18 year olds in Liverpool and educates almost 12,000 learners each year, with all courses being delivered to the highest standard of learning. The support staff at the college play a vital part in ensuring that these courses are delivered to the standard of excellence we hold ourselves to, whether through supporting the students directly in their learning, or indirectly through business support roles that keep the day to functions of the college running smoothly.

To ensure and maintain our support teams are maintaining our high standards, we are looking for high quality applicant for the following role:

Business Development ManagerFull TimePermanent£41,905 + Performance Related Pay The Role

Responsible for promoting and growing the College's workforce development programmes include our apprenticeship, Skills Bootcamp programmes as well as other income streams, including adult education budget, loans and commercial business. You will be responsible for growing the College's apprenticeship levy business both via existing levy clients but also by engaging and bringing new levy clients on board. You will be instrumental in supporting the College's commercial and business development service strengthening our reputation and credibility with business and be target driven capable of delivering a high quality, credible, reliable, and efficient talent management service to business.

You will work within our team of industry specialists to co-ordinate recruitment activity for specific companies, as well as supporting all aspects of supporting employer registration into our apprenticeships, Bootcamps and commercial training programmes. You will also build relationships with employers through our industry assessors and work experience team.

You will work closely with the Commercial Director to drive existing and new opportunities for income generation and take responsibility for monitoring and reporting on commercial business performance including funding through digital accounts and other income generation packages. You will also work across the college's curriculum areas to identify and cost skills training packages providing advice to employers on funding opportunities through the Adult Education Budget (AEB), other national and regional skills funding programmes or via commercial agreements.

You will have excellent business development acumen and a good understanding of national skills programmes and apprenticeship standards within various sectors and how levy and non- levy apprenticeship funding works. You will be able to work with employers to identify other commercial and AEB funded business opportunities and will be required to work in partnership with internal stakeholders and subject experts to develop new skills programmes including providing insight into employer skills demands.

Understanding the local labour market and the ability to network identify new products to meet employer needs and to package and cost skills training to meet these needs. Developing routes to market will be an additional focus of the role.
