Milton Keynes College Group at HMP Fosse Way are always looking for passionate and motivated industry experts to join our teams as Teachers/Workshop Technicians within the Construction provision, helping to build learners’ confidence, develop their skills and achieve within a college environment. Who better to teach our learners than those who have worked directly in the industries!

Requirements range from single/ad-hoc sessions on an hourly paid basis up to contracted salaried roles. We are looking for individuals with the below skillsets/qualifications who are interested to join the team and support teaching in both the practical and theory elements of our students learning!

We are keen to hear from candidates within the Carpentry/Construction sector, who are interested in starting a career within teaching, and want to share their industry knowledge. No previous teaching experience? Don’t let this put you off… If you are a passionate person with the capacity to become a great teacher we can provide the training to help you achieve your full potential, just as we expect you to be able to help our learners achieve theirs.

Milton Keynes College are offering potential candidates who possess suitable skills/experience the opportunity to visit prison - This will allow candidates to experience the environment and find out more about the day-to-day regime and expectations. (Please note this will be invite only)

HMP Fosse Way is a brand-new, purpose-built Resettlement Prison based in the Glen Parva area of Leicester. The prison will be operated by Serco with Milton Keynes College as their strategic education provider. Following the prison opening in Spring we are recruiting for talented and creative professionals to join the new Education team based in the prison. Education runs all year round, and is delivered Mon-Fri between 8:10-16:40.

Due to HMP Fosse Way being brand new, education staff will benefit from working in a new prison with up to date facilities, new resources and equipment.
