This is an exciting opportunity to join our enthusiastic team of Dietitians working with adults in an acute setting. The post is based with the acute Nutrition and Dietetic team at Scunthorpe and is an ideal place to broaden your practice as a Band 5 Dietitian.
The post-holder will be an essential team member within the service, working alongside Dietitians and the wider multidisciplinary team and will be encouraged to participate in service development. You will receive ongoing informal and structured support from your senior colleagues, including assistance to complete your Preceptorship with a view to developing knowledge and skills where required. You will be actively involved in student training with support to develop clinical supervisory skills.
Provide a high standard dietetic service undertaking all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner.
Be responsible for the caseload in a defined area of the service, supervising, and allocating work to assistants and students, as delegated.
Provide advice to other health care professionals as appropriate for level of skills.
Use clinical reasoning skills and evidence-based practice to provide a diagnosis and to develop and deliver treatment programmes.
Participate in evidence-based audit and research projects to further quality improvement in the service.
Meet with and keep to the HCPC Standards of Proficiency and Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics
Deputise for Band 6 dietitian when required.
