Education Officer

Our beaches and foreshores are among our District’s greatest assets, and the demand for their use is growing year on year.

We’re looking for an Education Officer with extensive knowledge of the district, coastline, and the services that the Council provides to help develop and deliver significant improvements across the district and coast by coordinating the activities of internal and external partners.

The Education Officer will hold teaching-related qualifications and provide a dedicated education and prevention service to residents, visitors and businesses across the district to help reduce environmental crimes such as littering, promote public spaces protection orders around the district and within open and public places where education and prevention will be the priority. This is a high-profile, public-facing role within the organisation and the community and the ability to manage internal and external customer relationships effectively and appropriately is essential.
