Job Role: HLTA Location: Sheffield
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £100 - £115 per day
Contract Type: Full-Time Are you looking for a career where you can work with students who have significant learning difficulties? If so, GSL Education can help. GSL Education is actively recruiting a HLTA to work at a client schools located in Sheffield starting immediately. HLTA Responsibilities: * The ability to identify students going into crisis mode and follow/be familiar with their special needs.
* Provide 1:1 support for a young student with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
* Support the delivery of in-class activities, promoting independent learning where possible, and encouraging appropriate social skills.
* Follow Education Health Care Plans to ensure outcomes are met.
* Previous involvement with SEN Children as an added advantage.
* Previous working experience with Educational Psychology services, Paediatricians, CAMHS or Therapist.
* An Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for a new one with GSL Education. HLTA Responsibilities: * Support on a one to one and small group basis.
* Follow Education Health Care Plans to ensure outcomes are met.
* Assist in engaging lessons including outdoor education and creative learning.
* Support young people social interaction.
* Be able to work collaboratively with staff members and outside agencies, such as counsellors and mental health professionals
* Develop self-esteem, confidence, and emotional wellbeing resilience in students to ensure regular attendance in school and active participation in learning and social opportunities.
