Job Title : Quality Managaer - Distilling

Job Level: (Internal Only) 5 Contract : Full Time / Permanent -Monday to Thursday, 08:00am – 4:30pm & Friday, 08:00 – 14:00 (38 hours p/w) additional hours will be required when travelling to other sites including overnight stays.

What the opportunity looks like:

The Quality Team Manager is responsible for leading and developing the Quality function within Distilling & Maturation. To motivate and develop the Quality Team in line with our company values ensuring we are a Great Place to Work. Taking ownership of both pre and post distillation quality, supporting the operational teams to drive improvements in the quality metrics.

Responsible for Cost of Quality which involves helping protect our reputation by ensuring we make the best products and get the best efficiency through working towards a right first time culture.

• Responsible for compliance within the Quality function, especially Health & Safety, Environment and HMRC.
• Ensure established procedures and specifications are adhered to, maintaining safety, quality and production efficiencies.
• Provide motivation, direction and leadershipto the team by encouraging and supporting the achievement of goals through coaching, feedback, recognition, and role model the right behaviours aligned to our values.
• Work with the Distilling operations teams and Maturation teamsto collect and analyse samples.
• Develop relevant dashboard and reporting tools ensuring the timely transfer of information to allow informed decisions to be made.

Skills and experience that will help you be a success:

For this role we're looking for:

• Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline or qualified by experience.
• Previous experience in a leadership role within a quality team desirable.
• Health & Safety qualification with NEBOSH preferred / commitment to work towards.
• Industry specific qualification such as General Certificate in Distilling desirable.
• Analytical techniques such as Gas Chromatography, culture methods.
• Knowledge of Quality Assurance standards and techniques such as HACCP.
