Advanced Secure Technologies is a well-established company, headquartered in Cardiff, Wales, UK, with new subsidiary operations in the US and EMEA. We specialise in market-leading security technologies that protect organisations from document fraud.

We've doubled as a team in the last two years to circa 36 employees and are in the process growing our head count by 25% to keep up with our rapid growth. We focus on business development driven through long-term and excellent customer relations, working as solution consultants to our customers.

Our customers include institutes across all education sectors, Universities, Professional Bodies and Awarding Organisations. These range from UK based specialist organisations right up to large and globally renowned education institutions both in the UK and overseas; and we are rolling out ambitious plans to grow our business further worldwide.

About the job:

We're searching for 4 dynamic individuals to help drive and maintain our growth in the UK and Europe. These are entry level positions for highly motivated individuals to commence as Education Solution Executives working towards becoming Education Solutions Specialists through our Advanced Sales Training Programme.

During your induction period we will enrol you on our 90-day training and development programme to learn the core selling skills, product knowledge and market knowledge from our in-house experts. Providing both internal and external coaching and mentoring to help you achieve the essential skills and knowledge standards.

You'll be selling market leading solutions that have already been adopted by leading UK institutions and providing best practice standards for high value secure documents and credentials. Excelling in this entry-level sales role opens doors to a rewarding career pathway, leading to longer term opportunities, such as Education Solutions Specialists, in our wider global expansion.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Opportunity Identification: Proactively discover and cultivate new business accounts and contacts within the UK and potentially overseas (from the UK).
  • Partnership with Educational Institutions: Collaborate closely with universities, professional bodies and vocational qualification providers to safeguard their prestigious degrees, qualifications and credentials against fraudulent activities.
  • Client Engagement: Organise and conduct both virtual and in-person meetings to create business development opportunities.
  • Sales Development: Identify & develop new business opportunities and applications for our advanced security solutions across the education, legal, corporate, and public sectors.
  • Market Insight: Regularly evaluate market dynamics and competitor strategies to pinpoint and seize growth opportunities; providing insights to our Marketing & Product Development Team.

The ideal candidate will have:

Essential:

  • Qualifications: We ideally require a minimum of 2 A Levels (grade C or above) plus demonstration of continued learning however, proactive and motivated candidates without this formal education that can demonstrate career success are also welcome to apply.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Outstanding ability to communicate effectively, complemented by a confidence to develop proficient selling and negotiation skills.
  • Organisational skills: Ability to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks and stay organised in a fast-paced sales environment.
  • Resilience: Willingness to handle & overcome objections, remaining positive in the face of challenges and setbacks.
  • A Drive for Growth: Self-motivated, highly pro-active and organised individuals, with a genuine enthusiasm for business development.
  • A Positive Attitude: A positive and enthusiastic attitude with a can-do approach to tasks and responsibilities.

Desirable:

  • Advanced Study : Relevant degree, or related Master's in Marketing, Business or Sales.
  • Certifications : Relevant training in Sales, Business Development, Cybersecurity, Project Management, or CRM Tools.
  • Digital Skills : Training in Digital Marketing or Data Analysis. Experience with Dynamics 365 CRM.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in additional languages is especially of interest and will create clear advantage for candidates.
  • Sales Expertise: Sales experience is not essential as all successful candidates will participate and graduate from the Advanced 90 Day sales training programme. However, we welcome applications from individuals with proven business development experience and success.
  • Industry Knowledge: Prior experience within the education sector would be an advantage but is not essential.

Location:

St Mellons, Cardiff, Wales. (Onsite and office based 5 days a week, possible occasional UK travel)

  • Starting basic salary of £28,000
  • A 90-day Advanced sales training programme, to quickly develop your skills and knowledge to enable you to hit the ground running.
  • The opportunity to earn monthly activity lead bonuses, coupled with an uncapped commission structure which will commence after successful completion of induction period.
  • A genuinely achievable OTE of £70k per annum for motivated and successful individuals.
