  Loretto School is one of Britain’s leading independent boarding and day schools located on the outskirts of Edinburgh. We have a fantastic opportunity for an Administrator to provide administrative support to our Senior School on a temporary part-time basis to provide maternity leave cover. You will be part of the Senior School Administration Team and also form part of the front of house reception for all visitors to Loretto, including internal/external School events. The role will also provide administrative support to Teaching, Housekeeping, Estate and Office colleagues on a day to day basis. The hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 1.30pm but this role, being part of the Administration Team, can on occasion, be required to cover other roles within the Administration Team, which may include some evenings and weekends.   Experience & Skills:   ·        Experience in an administrative role working in a busy office environment Experience of working with all the Microsoft Office set of applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Microsoft Forms ·        Proven ability to learn and use different types of software and applications ·        Ability to adapt well and quickly to new and varied tasks ·        Ability to be thorough and pay excellent attention to detail Have a professional appearance and high standard of telephone, written and communication skills ·        Proven track record of being a positive member of a ‘can-do’ team, as well as be able to work on your own initiative ·        Eagerness to perform the role with confidence, commitment, care, precision and professionalism Experience working in an administrative role within a school is desirable but not essential Salary will be determined by experience and aptitude for the role but will be in the region of £25,000 per annum (pro rata for 25 hours per week) plus benefits.   Benefits You will enjoy the fantastic benefits of working with Loretto which include: ·        Generous pension scheme ·        Enhanced holiday allowance ·        Family friendly policies ·        Annual review and opportunities for training and continued professional development ·        Bike to work scheme ·        Opportunities for involvement in the wider school community   Application If you think this is the right opportunity for you, please submit your completed application form.
