Position Information

Collarenebri Central School is a vibrant Kindergarten to Year 12 rural school with 90 students located on Gamillaroi land in the North Western NSW Region 140km West of Moree. The school population includes 90% students identifying as Aboriginal with strong connections to the surrounding lands and the beautiful Barwon River.

The school has a very strong sporting culture with close links to the local football club and a long and proud tradition of sporting excellence. We are blessed with excellent facilities including covered basketball courts, a football oval and fully equipped Gym.

Collarenebri Central School strives to provide high quality and individualised education characterised by effective teaching and learning in a caring environment to meet the present and future needs of all students in partnership with our families and the community.

Specific Selection Criteria

• Approval to teach Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE) with approval and/or willingness to teach Sport, Lifestyle and Recreation, Physical Activity and Sport Studies.
• Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop positive relationships with students, staff and the wider community to support student learning.
• Organisation skills with capacity for initiating and maintaining whole school sport programs.
• Capacity to deliver a variety of effective and differentiated learning experiences that will result in student growth across a range of abilities and cultural backgrounds.

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.

The successful applicant may be eligible to receive a one-off recruitment payment of $20,000. (Conditions Apply)
