The live-out British and/or French speaking Nanny will work closely with the parents to provide childcare for their four children, aged 10, 8, 6 and 2 . The family is looking for someone who is patient, fun and energetic. Candidates for this position should love adventure, but they should also feel comfortable working in a slower-paced environment. The candidate who is hired will strive to provide a warm, loving, and structured environment for the children, while setting clear and consistent expectations. Job spec
Organise creative and educational activities (e.g. drawing, crafting and games)
Play with the children
Take children for walks or to the park
Supervise the children’s activities at all times
Transport children from school and extracurricular activities and play dates
Support family during local visits to friends’ homes, restaurants, events and other family activities
Prepare children’s meals according to their specific needs and tastes and feed them
Empty backpacks when home from school & clean lunch boxes
Prepare children’s lunch boxes the night before (store in fridge) for easy loading next morning
Change nappies and assist with potty training
Bathe children as necessary or when parents are not available
Dress and assist with dressing the children
Plan and supervise bed and nap times
Assist young students with homework
Ensure children’s safety during all activities
Respond immediately and appropriately to unexpected situations or emergencies
Take care of children in case of injury or illness
Cleaning and tidying up the children’s living spaces, such as their bedrooms, closets, drawers, bathrooms, and playrooms
Ensure children’s growth and social development (e.g. teaching manners, teaching being respectful to each other and teaching children to help with chores)
Communicate and interact directly with each child at the child’s level
Communicate children’s behaviours to parents and agree on consistent discipline and always adhere to the childcare philosophy of the parent’s choice
Administer medicine to the children, as necessary and directed
Travel with the Family as needed (weekends, holidays and summers) – must be vaccinated in order to travel to US
Pack suitcases for children when travelling
All other duties as assigned Candidate must be/have:
A genuine passion for working with children
Patience and communication skills to successfully interact with the children, understand their needs and make them be receptive to your requests
Organisation skills to create a daily schedule that encompasses all the activities the parents want their children to attend
Problem-solving skills to be able to successfully deal with everyday issues that inevitably occur
Cooking and cleaning skills, such as the ability to make meals for the children and maintain their clothing and cupboards to a very high standard
Ability to guide the family to help them maximise the development of their children
First Aid and CPR Certification
Able to pass an in-depth background investigation
Able to work legally in the United Kingdom
Must be able to make a long-term commitment
Fluency in French & English a huge plus
Must be able to travel with the family when they travel (the family have multiple residences and travel frequently as a family)
Excels in time management
Valid Driver’s License and Clean Driving Record (family will provide the car) Accommodation

Full time – 40 hours per week at the family’s home. Specifically:
Tuesday – Thursday: 1pm – 8pm
Friday: 9am – 8pm
Saturday: 10am – 7pm
with Sunday and Monday off Salary
