Job Title: Receptionist
Salary range: £11.60 per hour - Paid Breaks
Contract: Permanent
Shift Pattern: Part time, 22 hours per week across 4 days - 1x weekend shift of 08:30-16:30 and 3 weekday shifts of 1x 08:30-14:00 and 2x 14:00-18:30

You’ll help us make health happen by:
Providing a warm welcome to visitors in the village reception, ensuring they sign in and refreshments are offered
Answering incoming calls to the village reception, directing calls as appropriate and ensuring message are relayed
Dealing with queries from residents - reporting these as required
Receiving money from residents and their families for sundry items, providing receipts and confirming payments as required
Ensuring the display information board is kept up to date
Managing incoming and outgoing post, ensuring all correspondence is dealt with promptly and any outstanding items are reported to the Administrator
Ensuring bookings are made and records are updated such as restaurant bookings, maintenance and transport requests
Ensuring office supplies are maintained and any issues with equipment are reported or call outs are made
Maintaining and updating records such as master copy forms, room status reports and the Village residents list
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
Having prior experience in a reception role or a care home setting is advantageous. Candidates should possess strong communication skills and an excellent telephone manner, along with experience using a telephone switchboard and proficiency in Microsoft Office. They should also have exceptional attention to detail and time management skills, enabling them to work effectively both within a team and independently.
Due to our commitment to caring for vulnerable individuals, a DBS check is required during the recruitment process, the cost of which (£40) will be covered by Bupa.
