Job Description - Restaurant Manager / Duty manager

Someone who is passionate about delivering great service and has experience of working in and managing high performing teams. The candidate needs to be results driven, and take responsibility for the performance of the team. Person Specification and Essential Qualities:

  • Proven people management skills and ability to deliver results in a similar role
  • Proven relevant management experience of Customer/Client services delivery
  • Corporate Restaurant, A la carte restaurant, five-star hotel or similar background
  • Ability to communicate effectively to senior stakeholders
  • IT and computer literate
  • Proven experience in Stock management, stock rotation and waste management
  • Understanding of meeting room booking software systems
  • Manage staff in line with company policies and procedures
  • Act as deputy of the Brasserie management
  • Support team recruitment of the right person for the job
  • Demonstrate the ability to provide clear direction to individuals and teams, supporting and motivating the team to drive results
  • Understand and support the completion of all compulsory training with all team members reporting to the role
  • Set and enforce company standards relating to people policies and procedures - ensuring compliance to legislation and all people matters are managed fairly
  • Manage all team member consistently and fairly including temporary or Agency staff. Lead by example and coach the team to deliver consistent service standards.
