Caretaker

Caretaker (Part-time) Industry: Housing/ Healthcare Location: Newport, Isle of Wight Hours: 18.5 hours per week (8.30am - 2.30pm Monday & Wednesday, 10am - 4.30pm Friday, flexibility required) Days: Monday, Wednesday & Friday Duration: Permanent Duties: General routine, internal and external minor maintenance works including basic plumbing and carpentry, painting & decorating.
Maintaining stock of spares and supplies, forecasting needs,
ensuring communal areas of site are frequently inspected and maintained to high standards,
Liaison with colleague and customers, raising and actioning reactive maintenance requests, overseeing contractors
Ensuring adherence to health and safety, Monitoring and reporting incidents or accidents. Experience: Must have previous commercial experience in the undertaking of property repairs and decoration, with a good understanding of health and safety,
Must have good customer service skills and experience of working with the public,
Must be able to work with minimum supervision and have the ability to organise workload and prioritise tasks, whilst working a part of a team.
Must have a full drivers licence as may be required to work at other sites on a relief basis or collect materials.
