Job Description - Healthcare-Director

Band 7 Clinical Outcomes and Effectiveness Manager This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic multi-disciplinary team monitoring and improving the quality of clinical care at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. This well-supported role is has exposure to a wide range of clinical teams across the trust and is an opportunity to set up new processes that make a difference for our patients. We are looking for an individual with strong clinical knowledge and experience analysing and communicating complex and sensitive data with clinical teams. The role supports the Learning from Deaths programme, providing assurance and intelligence to senior clinicians and providing the catalyst for learning and improvement across the organisation. University Hospitals Birmingham is a Smoke-Free premises hospital. *Undergraduate Degree Further evidence of post graduate knowledge training or experience. Experience of communicating a range of complex data (including calculation and analytical issues) with clinical or non-clinical staff directly and within formal written papers. Experience of working in the NHS or similar healthcare environment Excellent knowledge and understanding of clinical audit and monitoring clinical outcomes (including mortality and morbidity) Knowledge of NHS Data sets and analytics Understanding of the healthcare benchmarking Experience of and confidence in interacting with senior members of an organisation This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
