How you’ll change it up

You’ll join our dynamic Procurement function, responsible for the sourcing and contract management of a defined range of goods, equipment, and services. The Procurement Manger will lead and drive forward category and sourcing strategies, and establish effective in-life contract management practices directly and through the management of a growing team of procurement specialists.

Day to day you will:

• Lead your team to produce effective business cases, sourcing strategies, and contract and relationship management plans for the projects or areas of spend you own, with a particular emphasis on ensuring our contracts meet operational needs.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive category strategies, reviewing with the Head of Procurement and other senior stakeholders.
• Work with Finance leads to produce budgets, review performance, and agree savings targets.
• Negotiate clear, robust, and favourable contractual and commercial terms, ensuring our suppliers deliver to these.
• Be an advocate for change, partnering with the business to identify opportunities to improve performance, whilst building the teams reputation as a trusted advisor, and its capacity to deliver competitive advantage.
• Line manage, coach, and support a team of procurement specialists.

What you’ll bring to the role

You’ll already have some strong experience in a procurement, commercial or contract management role, with particular experience managing or procuring service-based contracts and leading strong-performing teams. You’ll also bring the following:

• Strong relationship building and stakeholder engagement skills
• End-to-end experience in contract management and sourcing processes
• Experience in supplier selection, auditing, and supplier assessments
• Strong leader ship capabilities within a team environment and through management of category management 
• MCIPS or equivalent
